Stop, Tap in and Release

Members’ Afternoon workshop

Saturday 19th November 2016 2pm – 5.30pm

Jaz shall start the afternoon with a Yin Yoga practice – In Yin all postures are sitting, the Yin areas of the body is below the navel, between the knees, navel, and lower body. Since the practice is about holding the postures for longer period of time there are few postures one can attempt in one session.

We take the time to slow down and stop rushing; this encourages the body to surrender rather than holding, gripping and pulling.

Through these attitudes there can be a gaining of harmony and peace; so there is a greater ease, a deeper sense of balance, feeling of calmness and acceptance – Norman Blair.

This will be followed by a short break, thereafter Babs will teach Mindfulness Yoga. Yoga and Mindfulness is a never-ending exploration of the body, mind and spirit. It is a part to discover our inner power. By cultivating self-awareness we are able to connect to what is really happening inside and become mindful of the present moment. It means to let go of ego and limitations and learn to uncover our true self. Only then can we begin to lead a more fulfilling, happier life, which will positively affect everyone around us.
